BucketFaq Terms of Use

Rules for accessing BucketFaq, using platform features, and the rights and responsibilities of users.

1. General provisions

1.1.

These Terms govern access to BucketFaq, use of its functionality, user rights and responsibilities, and the provision of information services.

1.2.

BucketFaq is an online automotive information platform for VIN searches, maintaining vehicle histories, adding vehicle-related events, and visiting specialist vehicle-check services.

1.3.

The operator of BucketFaq is Oleksandr Vatset, a natural person, referred to in these Terms as the “BucketFaq Administration”.

1.4.

Users must comply with these Terms and applicable law.

1.5.

Where a feature requires acceptance, consent is confirmed through the relevant interface action.

1.6.

A user who disagrees must not use features requiring acceptance.

2. Key definitions

2.1.

BucketFaq is an information platform providing automotive information and related features.

2.2.

A User is a natural or legal person visiting or using it.

2.3.

An Account is a personal electronic profile.

2.4.

A VIN is a unique vehicle identifier, usually 17 characters.

2.5.

A Vehicle Card may contain VIN, make, model, year, technical data, and history.

2.6.

An Event is information about repair, damage, collision, maintenance, or another fact of vehicle use.

2.7.

A Partner Service is an independent provider of checks, reports, or automotive services.

2.8.

A Partner Link leads from BucketFaq to that provider.

2.9.

A Vehicle History Report is an information document produced by a specialist provider from its available sources.

3. Purpose and capabilities of BucketFaq

3.1.

Depending on available functionality, BucketFaq may provide VIN search; vehicle-card creation and viewing; adding vehicles; make, model, year and technical data; event chronology; damage, repair and maintenance information; corrections and error reports; available history; and links to independent services.

3.2.

Features may depend on technical capabilities, account type, or platform version.

3.3.

BucketFaq is not a state vehicle register, certification body, expert institution, or mandatory inspection service.

3.4.

Information is provided for reference and to assist evaluation.

4. Registration and account

4.1.

Some features may require an Account.

4.2.

Users must provide truthful information required for the service.

4.3.

They are responsible for keeping access credentials confidential.

4.4.

Using another person’s account without permission is prohibited.

4.5.

Unauthorized access should be reported.

4.6.

Users may request account and personal-data deletion under applicable law.

4.7.

Account deletion does not necessarily immediately erase all vehicle information where an independent legal basis exists; retention and deletion are governed by the Privacy Policy.

5. VIN and vehicle information

5.1.

A VIN may be entered for searches, Vehicle Cards, and other functions.

5.2.

A card may contain make, model, year, fuel, engine capacity, transmission, drive type, VIN, and event history.

5.3.

Data may come from users, public sources, or other lawfully used sources.

5.4.

Administration makes reasonable efforts but does not guarantee completeness, currency, or accuracy.

5.5.

Missing damage or repair information does not prove that no event occurred.

5.6.

BucketFaq data do not replace diagnostics, document and title checks, or an independent inspection.

6. Adding events to vehicle history

6.1.

Registered Users may add vehicle Events.

6.2.

These may include collisions, mechanical and body damage, repairs, maintenance, component replacement, and other significant circumstances.

6.3.

Information must be supplied in good faith and, to the User’s knowledge, be accurate.

6.4.

Fabricated or misleading information is prohibited.

6.5.

Users must not publish third-party personal data, confidential documents, or unlawful material without a proper basis.

6.6.

Display does not mean verification by Administration.

6.7.

Users must be informed before submission if Events will be public.

6.8.

Users retain their rights and grant a non-exclusive permission to store, technically process, and display materials as needed for the service.

6.9.

This does not transfer ownership to Administration.

7. Error reports and clarifications

7.1.

Suspected inaccurate information may be reported through the site or contact email.

7.2.

The VIN, problem, relevant Event, and available evidence should be identified.

7.3.

Administration may request more information.

7.4.

It may correct, supplement, restrict, remove, or retain information where justified.

7.5.

The reporter and the author of restricted material may seek review; any statutory appeal process takes precedence.

7.6.

A report does not guarantee automatic removal without proper grounds.

8. Partner vehicle-check services

8.1.

BucketFaq may cooperate with independent companies providing vehicle history verification services.

8.2.

The website may display links to those services, including carVertical and other VIN-check providers.

8.3.

By following a partner link, the user leaves BucketFaq and visits an independent third-party service.

8.4.

The partner provides its services under its own terms of use, privacy policy, and payment rules.

8.5.

BucketFaq is not the seller of third-party reports unless separate contractual terms disclosed before purchase expressly provide otherwise.

8.6.

Payment, preparation, delivery, content, and availability of independent partner reports are governed by the relevant provider’s terms.

8.7.

BucketFaq does not guarantee that particular data will be present in partner reports because the information depends on the provider’s available sources.

8.8.

BucketFaq does not download, copy, store on its servers, resell, or distribute vehicle history reports prepared by independent partners.

8.9.

The user receives any purchased report directly from the relevant provider in accordance with its terms.

8.10.

BucketFaq may receive affiliate compensation for referrals, registrations, or purchases made by users on partner websites where the applicable agreements so provide.

8.11.

Affiliate compensation does not in itself alter the price charged to the user by the partner.

8.12.

Commercial relationships with partners must be disclosed in a way users can understand, as required by applicable law.

9. Service costs and payments

9.1.

BucketFaq features not expressly labelled as paid may be made available without a separate charge.

9.2.

If the Administration introduces its own paid services, users must be informed of the full price, scope, payment conditions, and delivery method before placing an order.

9.3.

Reports or other services purchased on third-party websites are subject to the relevant partners’ prices and rules.

9.4.

Refunds for third-party services are handled under the agreement between the user and the provider, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

9.5.

If BucketFaq independently offers paid digital services, withdrawal, complaints, and refunds will be governed by additional conditions compliant with consumer protection law.

10. User obligations

10.1.

Users must comply with law and these Terms.

10.2.

Prohibited conduct includes false vehicle data; unlawful content; infringement; unauthorized account access; interference with servers or software; abusive automation; bulk harvesting of personal data without a legal basis; fraud; and other unlawful acts.

10.3.

Users are responsible, to the extent provided by law, for the legality of uploaded or published materials.

11. Moderation and access restrictions

11.1.

Administration may moderate materials, notices, and Events for safety.

11.2.

With justified grounds it may correct display errors, hide or remove unlawful material, restrict Account functions, temporarily block access, or terminate access for serious or repeated violations.

11.3.

Restrictions must be reasoned and proportionate.

11.4.

Where required by law, the User receives reasons and review information.

11.5.

Where automated moderation is used, its use and material operating principles are disclosed as required.

12. Personal data and privacy

12.1.

Personal data are processed under applicable data-protection law, including GDPR where applicable.

12.2.

Purposes include accounts, BucketFaq functionality, requests and complaints, security, legal obligations, and other lawful Privacy Policy purposes.

12.3.

Categories, legal bases, retention, recipients, and rights are described separately.

12.4.

Applicable rights include access, correction, deletion, restriction, and complaint.

12.5.

Cookies are governed separately.

12.6.

Partner-site processing is governed by the partner’s documents.

12.7.

VIN or other data may be transferred to a third party only with a proper legal basis and notice.

13. Intellectual property

13.1.

Rights in original design, software, graphics, name, and materials belong to their lawful owners.

13.2.

Third-party marks, names, and logos require a proper basis.

13.3.

Protected materials may not be copied or commercially used without permission except where law allows.

13.4.

A link does not transfer rights in partner materials.

13.5.

User-created materials remain owned by their lawful rights holders.

14. Service availability and liability

14.1.

Administration makes reasonable efforts to operate the platform properly and securely.

14.2.

Availability may be interrupted by maintenance, updates, failures, cyberattacks, or other circumstances.

14.3.

Vehicle information may be incomplete or inaccurate.

14.4.

Users independently decide whether to buy, sell, repair, or use a vehicle based on other evidence and professional checks.

14.5.

BucketFaq does not guarantee condition, safety, clean legal title, or conformity with stated characteristics.

14.6.

Administration remains liable for its own acts as required by law.

14.7.

Liability and consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

15. Changes to the Terms

15.1.

Terms may be updated for legal changes, service development, new features, or security.

15.2.

The current version is published with its effective date.

15.3.

Material changes affecting rights or duties are notified in advance as required.

15.4.

Where separate acceptance is legally required, changes apply after acceptance.

15.5.

Changes do not cancel rights acquired beforehand.

16. Contact and complaints

16.1.

Users may submit questions, complaints, or violation reports.

16.2.

A confirmed contact email or site form is used.

16.3.

The issue, relevant VIN, page address, and available evidence should be included.

16.4.

Administration responds within a reasonable period.

16.5.

Mandatory procedures and deadlines take precedence.

16.6.

Users retain the right to contact authorities and courts.

17. Governing law and dispute resolution

17.1.

Relations are governed by the law of the operator’s country, which still requires confirmation, without limiting mandatory consumer rights under other applicable laws.

17.2.

The parties first seek resolution through negotiation or written complaint.

17.3.

Otherwise, a competent authority or court decides.

17.4.

Jurisdiction clauses do not restrict mandatory consumer remedies.

18. Final provisions

18.1.

These Terms set the general conditions of website use.

18.2.

Particular features may have additional terms after proper notice.

18.3.

Invalidity of one provision does not affect the remainder unless law requires otherwise.

18.4.

Mandatory law prevails over conflicting terms.

18.5.

The official version is made available on BucketFaq.

Register
